The mountain gorillas eats nettles and bamboo. They also eat wild berries if available. All gorillas are herbivores which means that they only eat plants. They also eat ants, snails and grubs. Most of the gorillas diet consists of plants. But some times they eat roots and flowers. Gorillas like eating the shoots during the rainy season because the bamboos are soft and green. They don’t need to drink a lot of water since they get 84% of the water from the plants. When gorillas finds leaves they eat every last bit of it in including the stem. Gorillas eat 3 meals a day (just like us!) except they sleep after each meal.
